gorjeoux moon (she/they) is a non-binary femme, trans feminist poet, writer and transdisciplinary artist living and making art as authentically as possible in Berlin, Germany.
she makes ‘book shaped kinetic poetry sculptures’ as well as writing poetry, spoken word, essays, music, and conceptual books, and she performs and exhibits various incarnations of them all. she makes art that combines exquisite craftspersonship, big concepts, meta metaphors, and deep emotionality that can - and should - be enjoyed upon multiple levels.
sometimes her use – or wilful misuse – of the form ‘haiku’ carries deeper meanings than just the words within the poem or an intervention in the developing process in a photo series becomes a metaphor for chemical instability in memory recollection. many of her works have an explicit awareness of themselves as a members of whichever category they belong to and their conformity to, or deviance from, the conventions of that categorisation carries meaning beyond the content of the piece itself.
she believes firmly in the democratisation of art, intellect and understanding – she loves to deep dive into the hows, whys, and complexities of her pieces - art shouldn’t only be accessible to graduates or members of one class or another.
